Tai Chi Workshop

This workshop teaches the Cheng Man Ching 37-posture Yang-style short form. Simple and effective, this form uses the core principles of traditional Tai Chi while remaining accessible for modern practitioners. Regular practice helps develop flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination, while also reducing stress, sharpening mental focus, and supporting overall health and well-being.

Discover the origins and principles of Tai Chi while learning the Cheng Man Ching Yang Style Short Form.
This course will take you through the short-form movement sequence step by step, with a focus on developing and perfecting each movement.
Particular attention will be given to posture, balance, alignment, breathing and correct form, helping you build confidence and develop a greater understanding of the art of Tai Chi.

- A brief history and introduction to the origins of Tai Chi.
- An introduction to the principles of Cheng Man Ching Yang Style.
- Step-by-step tuition through the short-form sequence.
- Guidance on correct posture, positioning and technique.
- Opportunities to practise and refine each movement.
- A written handout of the complete form to take away, allowing you to continue practising and developing your Tai Chi independently.
