Ffit Conwy, Conwy County Borough Council’s Leisure Team, have partnered with Les Mills, to introduce Born to Moveto primary schools across the county. The initiative aims to give children and young people the chance to be more physically active during the school day.

Cyng Dilwyn Roberts, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Governance Services said;

“We’re in the early stages of development. Schools have been contacted and engagement is looking very positive. Our aim is to get as many young people moving and engaging with fitness in Conwy County as possible.”

Cyng Aaron Wynne, Cabinet Member for Education said;

“Creating opportunities for children and young people to be active every day is essential. Through this partnership we are giving our schools resources that inspire movement, support healthy lifestyles, and help pupils thrive both inside and outside the classroom.”

Les Mills Rep said:

“I have been incredibly inspired by the Ffit Conwy team throughout this journey. Their passion for creating more opportunities for children and young people to be active, combined with their commitment to working collaboratively across education, leisure and community services, has been truly remarkable.

Conwy's vision for embedding Born to Move is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared purpose. It is a privilege to support their ambitious plans, and I am excited to see the lasting impact this partnership will have in helping more children, young people and families build positive relationships with movement and wellbeing across Conwy.”
