Athletics Track

Colwyn Leisure Centre manages a 400 metre, synthetic athletics track, which is widely used by the community, including the Colwyn Bay Athletics Club who regularly train here.

In September 2024, the track was refurbished which included a new sub-structure and topcoat. (Refurbished athletics track unveiled in Colwyn Bay)

As well as the track, there is also:

 

• A long jump pit
• High Jump

The track also offers integrated timing gates for those runners who want to time themselves doing the 100m or 400m. The timing gates can be used to measure distance, speed, step frequency and split times. The timing gates are located in the following places:

• Lane 2 for the 400m
• Lane 4 for the 100m

Upon entry to the track, there is an information board, which shows where the gates are located as well as the barcode to download the Smart Run App.

The track is available to hire to all Ffit Conwy members and non-members. We would advise that you contact Colwyn Leisure Centre prior to visiting the athletics track to ensure that the track is available for use.
