Nominations are open for the Conwy Sports Award 2025
Conwy County is home to exceptional talent, with competitors making their mark on national, international, and even world stages. This prestigious event, held annually at Venue Cymru, Conwy’s premier theatre and conference venue, is a true celebration of sporting dedication, passion, and achievement.
For over 26 years, the Conwy County Borough Council leisure services have organised the Conwy Sports Awards, designed to recognise and honour the talented sports people, sports clubs, coaches and volunteers in Conwy.
Caroline Jones, Ffit Conwy Leisure Development Manager explains:
“From young rising stars to seasoned competitors, these awards celebrate those who push the boundaries of excellence in their chosen sport, as well as the dedicated individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support clubs and athletes week in, week out.
“It is a fantastic event, held in Venue Cymru’s Arena, bringing together over 400 guests, including athletes, sponsors, and council executives. There 12 categories in total, and the winner is presented their prestigious award on stage.”
The categories are:
- Junior Sports Man of the Year
- Junior Sports Woman of the Year
- Junior Sports Team
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- Special Achievement Award
- Senior Sports Man of the Year
- Senior Sports Woman of the Year
- Senior Sports Team
- Coach of the Year
- Services to Sport
- Volunteer of the Year
The event, which is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund will take place on Friday 21 Nov 2025, 7:30pm in Venue Cymru, Llandudno.
